V4U brings together a strong partnership (3 universities from Denmark, Greece and France, 1 research center from Greece and 1 SME from Spain) aiming to increase architecture students chances for a faster and better insertion on the labor market by improving their skills in immersive technologies (VR/AR/MR).

The project will investigate employers, students and teaching staff perspective on the gap on skills in immersive technologies and collect existing best practices in the field at EU level. 9 persons from teaching staff will participate in a short-term joint staff training event (C1) regarding the delivery of skills on virtual technology. 12 persons from teaching staff will participate in a 5 days international Intensive Study Program (C2) regarding the delivery of skills on virtual technology and the development of adaptive training paths. 30 students of 3 universities will take part in a 5 days international Intensive Study Program (C3) on skills development regarding virtual technologies (5 ECTS). Over 150 students and 60 teaching staff from partner universities will receive updated information regarding market demands and will become aware of the importance of skills in virtual technologies for the future employment. The project will improve the capacity of universities to deliver courses regarding skills in virtual technologies by training teaching staff and increase the collaboration between universities and business sector/employers. Over 12 companies will be involved in all project stages from needs analysis to course design, implementation and evaluation.

The project will also increase the awareness on the importance and application possibilities of virtual technologies. 450 students, 120 teachers, 25 other universities, 75 companies and 10 authorities from 4 EU countries will be informed about project results. All partner universities will include the training course in virtual technologies developed in their facultative / extracurricular curriculum with an expected 300 students trained over a 3 year period, after the project’s end.
