Présentation

Traductrice de formation spécialisée en traductologie, Sophie Provost a suivi une formation trilingue à la Faculté de Traduction et d’Interprétation de l’Université de Genève, Suisse. Après avoir validé sa maîtrise théorique en 2016, elle a pu mettre à profit ses compétences linguistiques au service du Parlement européen, ainsi que de nombreuses organisations internationales dans le cadre de missions bénévoles.

Arrivée au laboratoire AAU en février 2018, elle est chargée de traduire et réviser la production scientifique des chercheurs, en vue d’être ensuite publiée au niveau international. Elle participe également au soutien linguistique dans l’organisation de conférences anglophones, et travaille aussi bien du français vers l’anglais qu’inversement.

Professional translator specialised in translation studies, Sophie Provost graduated from the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting, University of Geneva, Switzerland. After defending her Master’s thesis in 2016, she applied her language skills to her work at the European Parliament, as well as for many international organisations, for whom she worked as a volunteer.

After four years as an in-house translator at the AAU Laboratory, which focuses on research regarding architecture and urban planning among other fields, I can confidently add this expertise to my portfolio. Simultaneously, I continued my volunteer work with the TEDTranslators program, with whom I still work and learn/translate/revise a great deal in the world of science (astronomy, neuroscience, medicine) and humanities (feminism, sociology). Recently, I have also become a volunteer for Translators Without Borders.
